On the eve of the JCK 2010 Las Vegas Show, World Gold Council, together with co-sponsors from the Vicenza Fair, AngloGold Ashanti and The Richline Group, hosted an elegant Gold Expressions fashion event at Valentino Restaurant in the Venetian Resort & Casino. Bringing together the timelines for the three annual jewelry fairs in Vicenza with the year-long emotional relevance for gold, the party was themed “A Seasonal Tour of Italian Gold". Guest were invited to visit each of three rooms:
VICENZAORO First: January – A Winter Warming in Italian Gold VICENZAORO Charm: May – A Springtime Blossoming of Italian Gold
VICENZAORO CHoice: September – An Autumn Transformation in Italian Gold
Each room of the restaurant was themed accordingly with winter fashion, winter foods and hearty Italian red wines in the front room; springtime décor, spring fashion, lighter foods and white wines in the middle room; and finally fall fashions, sweet wines and scrumptious seasonal desserts in the last room. Gold Expressions jewelry was worn on models, as well as featured in beautifully decorated well-lit museum display cases throughout each room.
Over 200 guests attended, including jewelry industry VIPs, retail buyers and press representatives. All US trade press publications were represented and many of the consumer magazines including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Elite Traveler, More and Brides. Leading gold jewelry retailers from the US were also in attendance, including Sterling, Ben Bridge, Belk, Bloomingdale’s, ShopNBC, Amazon.com, Hamilton Jewelers, Greenwich Jewelers, etc.
